You know what... I've known Jarre since 1979, and it wasn't before like 2001 (22 years), when I got my first PC and internet connection, that I found out Jarre had made stuff before Oxygene. Therefore it's a bit hard for me to recognize that fact. The same goes for Kraftwerk, only with them I discovered their pre-Autobahn stuff in an import shop some 8 years ago. Can't come to terms with that either. They are Autobahn and onwards. Let me live in my own little secure bubble! :P :D
Ooookkkaaaay.... just because it's you then... :P

I think Jarre himself looks at albums before Oxygene like on some projects, not real albums. Deserted Palaces was made for music library, never for commercial release. This was not released on cd until today and maybe never will so that talks about how much is this important to Jarre. Similar thing he feels about soundtrack Les Granges Brules 28 min soundtrack. How can you translate to yourself fact that he released that in 2011 on cd and not before? I think he himself see Oxygene as real first album. Those two before were just projects, not real albums.... Technicly we cant say Oxygene is first one but it is the first one if you know what I mean. Jarre didnt pay attention to those two before Oxygene at all, this fact tells you everything.

This "album" is if you dont count songs (themes) which they are repeating them selfs is to short, it is not full 25 minutes of this "album", it is by lenght more like EP.
