Yes that one is pretty nice, a shame it wasn't on the album version but then it makes the CiC version more special.

Personally I too thought Rondat's contribution though technically good, were irritating and trying too hard. Jarre is not rock, which has it's roots in blues. It's something original, even though he may have been influenced by classical and jazz at one point early in his youth.

Dominique Perrier. Man, the guy is great. He is the man of the solos. He has been working with Jarre since the early 70s, in the Christophe era, where Perrier played some keys on the Christophe albums, together with Bunny (Roger Rizzitelli, who was also on the China tour). We need more Perrier live, to spice up the sound.

Sorry to say this out loud, but JMJ's concert suck ever since he started doing that "2 DJ's on stage" thing, what I (and a lot of others I know) want is a complete band on stage playing live.

I don't mind the miming of JMJ as long there's a band behind it doing it live..

I have to admit that I too am finding Jarres latest concerts a little 'tedious' to watch. If you compare both the China and Gdansk concerts, Gdansk knocked the spots off China. But even as I watch the Gdansk show I still nod my head saying 'You can do better than this Jarre, and you have!".

Music technology has come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of decades. Jarre may think that a stage full of musicians is not needed any more, but put to the vote, a stage full of musicians will certainly out vote that of 2/3 musicians. Its been just over 6 years since we last saw Jarre on stage with a full band - Time I feel for Jarre to go back to the old method. Time I feel for a 'CITY IN CONCERT'.

It seems to be a trend issue... that's what Francis told me. Todays electronic music is a guy behind turntables, and JMJ says his music is not pop/rock... 1+1=2 on stage...

Although I must say the City In Concert concept is his trademark, and so is the band on stage.

Now, if he would only read this and be influenced by it... but I seriously doubt :D
